Keep wagering in perspective
Sports wagering involves financial risk. Sharp Finch provides analytics and information; it does not accept or place wagers and does not provide counseling, treatment, or medical services.
- Never wager money needed for housing, food, health care, transportation, debt payments, or other essential expenses.
- Do not borrow money to gamble.
- Do not chase losses or increase wagers to recover money.
- Set money and time limits before wagering and keep to them.
- Take regular breaks and pay attention to how gambling affects your finances, relationships, work, and health.
- Do not view gambling as a way to solve financial problems.
If gambling is causing harm, stop gambling and seek support.
National support
The National Problem Gambling Helpline can connect people with support and resources in their state.
Local and state-specific resources may also be available. The NCPG help site includes information for finding support by state.
Immediate danger or crisis
The National Problem Gambling Helpline is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. For mental-health or suicide crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.
